In 2011 the SANFL inaugurated an Indigenous Round into the program. The SANFL celebrated all past and present players with an Indigenous Team of the Ages.

The Women’s SANFL competition held its inaugural Indigenous round in 2022.
2022 Indigenous Guernsey
The Adelaide Crows for the first time created a single Indigenous Guernsey to bring Men’s and Women’s teams together. For the first time the uniform was used outside of Indigenous round with Adelaide using the uniform in round two against North Adelaide.
